Bonus Screencaps. Just as I posted the last entry on the two-part Hello! Morning vacation episodes, I found that Alice Lee wrote an interesting comment:

I was surprised that Up Front let them show the part where the three were eating the crab after Kamei left the set, I thought it looked extremely suggestive but I guess that's cultural differences for you.

These two episodes had bunches of highly debatable shots that I was going to comment upon but ended up passing over for the sake of discretion. But now that it's been brought up, here are my favorite screencaps from the two episodes that can be looked at in a prurient manner.












Of course, it may just be that I have a filthy mind and there's really nothing to these shots. That's almost definitely the case, right?

Now I only thought the ones where they were sucking down crab back at the ranch (err, the Hello Morning studio) were suggestive, but I guess I could see the others.

I always think of a different set of clips though that illustrate cultural differences. During the Mechaike Sports Festival, Abe suggested to Tsuji that she "try lifting her leg up" which everyone present thought was terribly scandalous. But when the H!P All-Stars showed up on Utaban, Yasuda Kei said "I've been blowing too much" and Taka-san responded "What the hell have you been blowing?" (those are the HPS translations) to almost no laughs at all. Seems backward, doesn't it?
